low charge. I'd recharge the batteries or get new ones.

Is the motor hard wired directly to the batteries or is there a plug/receptacle up front? Chances are the wiring at the plug or the receptacle is loose/corroded. Is the speed selector set to something other than "0"?

Re: Minn Kota sm70 riptide

i have it setup with plug/receptacle but i checked the voltage after the receptacle and it shows its getting 25.1v then i took the head of the trolling motor, it shows it getting 25.1 at into the control panel and then even all the way down to the lower unit. i ook that apart and up to the magnets i am getting 25.1v i dont understand why its not working. its got juice. i dont know what you mean by speed set at "0"
