Hi Guys,
This is my first post, so please forgive me if this has been asked and answered already.
I now have a 1956 alumacraft that's been in my family since it was new.
I'm not sure what model it is, but it's a 14ft leaking tub without a drain plug, my brother lost it back in '84 fishing up in Canada.
I've looked everywhere I can think of.......
Does anyone here have an idea where I can locate one ?

Thanks

Welcome to iboats!

Have you been looking for that plug since 1984  :D

Is it a smooth hole or a threaded hole? There are basically only a few sizes and yes wally world usually has them and MANY of us carry an extra in out tackle/tool box.

Would the boat leak even if the plug is in? If so take a look in our restoration section and search for GLUVIT.

iboats also has an excellent store if you click the tab in the upper left corner of your screen......most anything you might need.

Re: '56 alumacraft question

I bet it is a threaded hole, approx 3/4 inch diameter, knurled head with a rubber gasket.
Had on like that on a '58 Alumacraft.

If you can't find/make one out of parts from a hardware store, try contacting Alumacraft directly.

Next option is to seal that hole, and install a new thru hull plug.
