2008 Sea Ray 175 will not run at idle speed.
I have drained all gas, replaced with fresh. Tried adjusting the idle setting. Pulled and soaked carb jets. Replaced gaskets and re-installed. Still having the same problem.

When I crank it cold, it runs until up to temp(auto choke?) then dies. I can keep it running with throttle, but just not at idle.

Any Suggestions??
Thanks!!

Welcome to iboats. Going to need some info for any kind of an answer.
Read this.

2008 Sea Ray sport 175, 3.0 Mercruiser/Alpha 1.

The problem started after sitting up for 2-3 months without Stabil in the tank. Took it out, ran fine for about 15 mins then dies. I was able to idle back to the ramp. After replacing all of the gas, then running above 3K RPMs in neutral, at the boat ramp I could go to 2K, but never at or below 1K. I ran the new fuel(mixed with Sea Foam treatment and a little Stab-il) for over an hour. Still no idle. I adjusted the idle screw both directions without any luck.
Now I decide that I have a Carb issue, even though the boat is less than 2 yrs old, maybe some gunk got in a jet. Removed the carb and soakd the jets. Replaced with no luck. Same issues.

Have you checked the carb for water? The 3.0L engines do not come with a water seperating fuel filter like all the V engines do. So any water goes directly into the carb. There is also a stone or paper filter in the fuel pump bowl that you should check also.

Ayuh,... You picked up some Crap, when it ran out...
My guess is, you Missed the Idle Circuit in the carb... It takes more than just soaking to Rebuild the carb...

Oh ya,... Change the fuel filter too,... I think you have 1 in the fuelpump...
Adding a water seperating fuel filter is Always a Big Plus, on boats without 'em standard...
