Used my Johnson over the weekend, now I have the drip.

I have an 89' Johnson 110. Oil injected. I started it for the first time since the fall. I ran good but when I shut it off alot of black oil and oil water mix was coming from the exhaust area. I let if sit for the night and had a nice pool of oil on the ground. Cleaned that up, checked again the next day and had the samething. It is not lower unit oil, I had just changed that and this oil is way to dark to be that. Is it common for that much oil to be coming out after running it?

Perfectly normal. It's unburned fuel/oil mix - the downside of a 2-stroke...

I always flush my motor after I use it, and leave the hose on for a few minutes after I shut the motor off. Cleans all the goo out and then you get no drips.

they make penisillin for that problem, hahaha jk for 2 stroke motors that normal, a good thing to do is just put a rag down under it
