20 hp nissan vibration?

Hi all. I am thinking of buying a 20hp nissan (new) but have read some reviews on Cabelas where some people say there is a lot of vibration in the motor. Anyone have info on this. I would be doing lots of trolling with this.

That engine doesn't vibrate anymore than any other 20...In fact. it vibrates less than than the Yamaha and no one is complaining about those.

Thanks for reply. Do you think this 20hp would troll as good as my 15hp Evinrude 2 stroke, it trolls really slow.

You will probably find that it trolls down much smoother and quieter (and less smoky) than the old 9.9/15 2-stroke 'rude.

If the motor is for trolling-only, consider getting a high thrust prop. That will let the motor troll at a somewhat higher RPM, (with excellent control) which the 4-strokes prefer -- reduces occurrence of oil dilution. But... of course, that's not the best prop if you want high speeds as well.

I run a 18hp 4 stroke nissan on a 16' lowe jon and I haven't noticed any vibrations from trolling to wot. So a 20 hp shouldn't have any difference.
