I have 2001 Bayliner Capri with a 4.3L Mercruiser with Alpha I. I am a very new boat owner. But having what I think is a big issue but hopefully easily fixed. Here is my issue:

I took my boat out yesterday for the first time...I launched the boat started it up and it ran fine until the alarms started going off. I throttled down to an idle shut the boat off check the oil which was good and the drive oil which was full as well and temp gauges was right in the middle. Started the boat back up, all of the pressure and temperature gauges were where they were supposed to be and quickly the alarms started going off before I started to move. Shut down again waited for five minutes started it back up and no alarms however, on the third start up none of the gauges worked...

Any ideas?

The gauge senders and the alarm switches have nothing to do with each other. You could have a faulty alarm switch on either the temp, oil pressure, or gear lube reservoir. Disconnect the wire off of each one and see which one is the problem. After you get power back.
Have you checked for fuses behind the inst panel? Or at the engine?

Check your depth alarm settings as well, the Bayliner Capri's of that era had a lcd compass on top of the guages and lcd depth guage on the bottom. If you go through you settings with the guages you can set the alarm depth. I had my alarm going off for no reason for most of last year because I had the wrong settings.
