Transducer location, old one removal

My boat which I bought used had 3 cables for depth, water temp and speed. All of these were removed and the wires cut on the inside of the hull. All the parts on the outside are still there. My question is, I bought a new Lowrance unit, should I try to enlarge one of the holes to run the cable or just remove all the old stuff and drill a new hole and start fresh?
Thanks, Mark

Here's a pic of the old stuff on the transom

That was what I was leaning towards. I'm still pretty new to this and felt better asking for a second opinion.
Thanks for your help!!!!!
