Hi All,
I am in the process of rebuilding a 1973 Chrysler 105 and need to find a new or good second-hand aluminium exhaust cover plate. If you know anyone who has such a part and would be willing to sell it (and package and post it to New Zealand) could you please let me know.
Any help appreciated,
Regards,
Lance

Re: Chrysler 105 Exhaust cover plate

Hi Shytownborn,
Thanks for the info

I've had a look at thier website but they only list exhaust cover plates for engines after 1976- Does anyone know if these plates were the same on earlier engines?

Send me a private message and I will give you my email. Send me a photo and I will see if I have a good one. OR, post a large photo here on the forum--large enough that I can see the bolt pattern clearly.

This shows the plate with the new gasket overlaid - shows the bolt hole layout clearly

Re: Chrysler 105 Exhaust cover plate

That looks like the bolt pattern for late 70s. the 1960s Chrysler used more bolts closer together. I think early Force used the same pattern as you have and later Force used less bolts further apart and also had a bigger water chamber. The difference is noticeable. Anyone would be able to tell the difference by comparing to the photo.

I don't have one, but I think you would be safe buying a late 1970s cover. Just try to get a return committment before you buy, or try to send them the photo.

Re: Chrysler 105 Exhaust cover plate

I,ve tried Doug Russell Marine, sent 2 emails and even filled out their "contact" page but still haven't heard back from them. Does anyone else know of where I might find a new exhaust port cover for my Chrysler 105?
