Applying Gluvit

My tinny is riveted. I have cleaned off all areas that I want to apply the Gluvit. I plan on tipping the boat on one side and do the seam where the hull meets the sides which would allow the sealer to flow into the seam, then tip it to the other side to do the same there, tilt the front up to allow penetration under the front of the cross ribs and base of the transom, and then finally, lift the rear to get the Gluvit under the rear of the cross ribs. Then I will coat the rivets. Is this the proper way to do it and what do you do with small areas you can't get at, such as under brackets etc?

Sounds like a plan, be sure you don't clog any drain spaces to keep the bilge dry. This should reduce the runs many of us get if you let it set up before rolling.

i agree with the above,
i gluvits around my knee brace the best i could but just recently i think theres a small leak there. its a area where the hull, knee brace and a rib on the outside of the hull(chine???) meet. i will look at this area again when i flip the boat and may address from the outside

Thanks for the feedback guys. At least now I know I'm going in the right direction with this stuff. JSPANO, I've got the same worry, getting a leak where I can't get at it. I'm only 500' from the river, so I'm going to give it the water test after the gluvit sets up and before I start on the interior build. Are you going to use gluvit on the outside or 5200?

i'm going to try gluvit, cause i am planning to paint over it, if i wasn't going to paint over i'ld probably try 5200
