75 hp Mariner wont engage reverse gear

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help,

last Saturday i reversed my boat onto a shallow sandbank, the motor shuttered and the noise was very unpleasant, i then proceed to go forward then later on tried reverse gear but it would not engage at all it just made a clattering sound, but out of water on trailer and running hose reverse will engage, it just wont under water pressure. the shift cable doesnt need adjusting, I think its something in the lower unit, not sure what though,

I have exacly the same problem on this moment
Out of the water it goes in his reverse but in the water it only make a rattle noise
Sometimes I have luck and will it work.
I think you have to loosen the underpart of your engine and look of the shaft and wheel are correct.
