Trying to restore a circa 1965 Brunswick Valiant. Initial windshield measured 60X20 on a curve. Not having much luck trying to find a replacement. Checked all the websites I can find.
Wondering if I should check a local marina for a used one. Failing that don't really know what a new one would cost. Are they really that expensive? Wouldn't be that bad an idea to have a cover over your head if it starts to rain. It never existed on the original model.
In the Toronto area so something local would help but realizing just about anything is accessible in cyberspace.
Any information would help.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Windshields

In another forum there was some discussion about buffing the plexiglas with Brasso. One person said that he had good results, but it took awhile. I also saw a fellow who posted some pictures of building his own windshield with a homemade form and a heat gun. It might have been on Youtube. I may have to try one or more of these alternatives as I also have a scratched up plexiglas windshield for a 1969 Silverline Swift runabout. I believe that there are people who will fabricate a windshield, but I expect it would be expensive.

If you had the metal frame you could cut a piece of lexan to fit it and it would look new and be cheap to do. Lexan about 80 bucks a sheet. Heres a picture of the one I did.
