New Improved Tiger Woods

So..not sure how many watched the Masters this last weekend but thought it was interesting observing Tiger's behaviour.

Was just a few days prior that he promised that we would all see the new Tiger without all of the on course antics. Sure enough this was not to be as he was in rare form with expletives within earshot of the camera.

Personally,I would have rather he not say anything at all than to promise to the world he was going to change his behavior and then immediatelly break his promise. Maybe his wife realizes the same thing and understands he isn't going to change in other ways as well.

Was it the 16th hole he missed that put twice? Man,you could see he was really ticked.

Considering his total score was better than two of the times he won the Masters and he had not played in a tournament in over 6 months, not sure why he was so mad all the time.

It would be best if nobody tosses any stones. That way this thread may survive.

If Tiger does not play, I think the PGA, sponsor of the tourney, gate and TV coverage suffer huge losses.

If Tiger was driving past a weir dam and saw a raft with two kids about to go over the top... stopped his car, jumped out, ran across the water and grabbed a kid under each arm and ran back to shore....saving their lives...I'm sure your comment would be "How about that!...Tiger Woods can't swim..."

I watched all 4 rounds.
His "promise" was to TRY not to get as hot when he plays and if you have watched Tiger over the years, he certainly accomplished that at Augusta last week. In previous years his erratic play might have had clubs flying.

His actual comment was :
"Yeah, great question. I'm actually going to try and obviously not get as hot when I play. But then again, when I'm not as hot, I'm not going to be as exuberant, either. I can't play one without the other, and so I made a conscious decision to try and tone down my negative outbursts and consequently I'm sure my positive outbursts be will calmed down, as well. "

The guy has incredibly high standards for himself and does not like to fail to meet them.
He didn't have his "A" game....maybe not even his "B" game, and still managed a 4th place finish. Pretty incredible talent.

There has been a long line of top players who were somewhat surly and prone to fits of temper on-course; golf fans have still enjoyed watching their exploits.

The "New Improved" Tiger Woods image, is really now the "Bad Boy" Tiger Woods, that is keeping the rubes glued to the boobtube, many for the first time.

For Tiger to play "neutered" golf, is the exact opposite of the new image, Tiger and his sponsors really want to parlay.

Who really wants to see Mother Theresa swinging Nikes out on the PGA links?

Tiger Woods can EABOHD as far as i'm concerned. The Mickleson (sp) story is much better. Guy has wife, wife has cancer, man and wife support eachother, man wins masters..... lets hope the wife survies cancer.
Tiger blows a shot, or at the least is not happy about it, and referes to himself in the 3rd person and cuss's. EDIT
