What is this thing I found in my boat?

[paulspaddle]

I would have thought this is just something left behind by the previous owner but the sticker on it says, "remove when boat is in transport."

What is it?

[oops!]

It was lying loose the back compartment beside the motor.

Maybe some kind of stepping board for your trailer that is not permanent and cant tow with it? I really have no idea.

How about a picture of the back of the boat ? From the inside & outside ?

Is this a new boat ? or new to you ?

Might help someone to figure out what it is.

Has to be some kind of cover or step. Or a joke from the MFR.

Correction on the lable...it says, "remove cover when boat is in transport"...so that's a clue. I lifted the back bench seat and there a well, but not close in size to this and the seat wouldn't go back into place if I put it there.

Here are some pics.....I don't currently have one from the inside looking back.

It's a lid of some sort, but it doesn't look like it even belongs on your boat.

Ditto, it's green, the boat is blue.

It did not come with the boat where it came from who knows....

Re: What is this thing I found in my boat?

Does not look like it came off your boat at all. Previous owner may have had it there for whatever reason and not removed it. Are they 2 vent holes in the middle of it ??? could be a stowage box or live well cover that should be removed when transporting so it does not bounce out.
Just guessing though.

What is that white stuff all over the ground and the road?

It's the stuff that increases suicide rates in Canada...some call it snow..I call it little fluffs of hell.

That said, perhaps the previous owner found it floating on the water one day, and grabbed it to prevent damage to other boats. Tossed it in the engine compartment and forgot all about. Looks like a ski locker cover to me.

I have no idea what that thing is, but I do know that your boat is gorgeous. Just thought I'd point that out.

It's a piece of starboard with two holes in it

Re: What is this thing I found in my boat?

Could be for putting under the jack on the trailer.
So it doesn't sink into the soft ground ??.

Re: What is this thing I found in my boat?

No idea on the cover, looks like it's from a different boat. You don't drive on the left side of the road up there do you? Maybe just parked weird. I'd look into some trailer tires. Those radial TA's are really not safe on a boat trailer. Boat looks very nice.
