Ive got the old sytle Shipmaster control box (kinda oval shaped with the round knobs). The cables where shot so I picked up a nice used set. My ends inside the box have the toothed ends on it, the set of cables I picked up have the single hole mount at the end, which I think is the next newer generation end if Im not mistaken. Question is can I swap out the ends and make these cables work? Ends on the motor end are the same.

Re: Controls Question

sounds like you have the long life cables... can you return the snap-in cables for a credit and buy long life cables instead?? (long life cables are about 1\2 price of snap-in.)
I am not sure if you can make snap-in cables work?

Re: Controls Question

You need the long life cables. The snap in cables won't work and can't be disassembled. I think the long life are Teleflex type 400, but verify that.
