Find the serial #, or a full Model #,+ Don can probably tell ya what ya Got,+ what you Need...

I gotta believe a 396 or a 460 Ain't in the cards though....

That does look like a 460 Ford bellhousing. The problem is 460 marine parts such as exhaust manifolds are getting scarce. As much as I like 'em, I would use a Chevrolet engine.

#27 in this link is the vibration damper. Do you have that? The splined drive shaft that comes out of the flywheel cover assembly you have fits into the damper and makes the connection to the engine that way.

From the looks of it you've got quite a project on your hands. Volvo never used a 460 only the 302 and 351. Forget about anything else.

Re: driveline/pto????

ya, it's definitely a Volvo Penta only part. It is specific to the ford 302 or 351 flywheel which were used for only 2 years. Here it is...expensive.

I suppose its still bolted to the old engine. I would suggest seaching on ebay. You may want to contact some of the guys selling used parts to see if you can find one that way.

Before you start buying anything you should be looking into the rest of the drive train to make sure everything else is functional.

We are happy to help but there is a lot to go through before getting that boat on the water. So if your up for it, you could start by splitting the manifold and risers, like I said in your previous thread, clean the two mating surfaces of gasket debris and taking some pics to determine if they are still usable. The Y pipe is also a concern to me.

To be honest, finding a 351 to put in your boat will be one of the easier parts of the project.
