From what my manual says, those other two check valves are not removable and then replaceable. So, if you remove them then you would have to get new ones. I don't know. Mine are all bad, so I am having to get new ones. The way to check them is to "blow" air through them the opposite direction of the way the check function works. If it stops the air they work, if you can get air through both ways, they are bad and will need to be replaced.

The check valves are replaceable if you are handy.

The one that you can see both sides of can be drifted out from one side to the other with a drift pin. The one installed in the blind hole can be cut with a dremel tool and then pried out with a screwdriver tip bent 90*. The valves cost $5 and are still available just about everywhere.

You can check to see if they are sticking by pushing gently on the spring loaded center. Do this a few times and, if they are sticking, you will see it.

I did that with one of mine and it worked fine. I then did the "blow" test and it failed. Seems that where it seals was cracked and it was no longer sealing. Everything else was working fine on it.

I drilled and drifted my bad valves out (50hp, 88') last week as per johns instructions. Worked great, I dont have a dremel so i carefully used a drill press on the valve in the blind hole. With patience and about 15 minutes, you can have them out. New Valves; I pressed those two valves in using a socket and a bench vise. My flooding problem is now fixed..The old valves were orange colored and damaged by ethanol. They werent sticking when i blew on them or pressed them but they were definately the cause of my flooding fyi. Thanks Again John.

The new valves are a charcoal to black color if I remember correctly. I assume they changed the composite material they make them from so that it is compatable with E10. All of the bad valves I found were either clear or translucent orange in color.
