Hi Everyone,
First off, great site. I just purchased a 1989 Malibu with a 100 Merc. I took her out for a spin and when I got home I realized that the anode was no longer there. It wasnt much good to begin with, but anyway. Do I need to get a new one before I put the boat back in the water? The boat never sits in the water for more that a few hours. Also, are these things expensive to replace?

I'd recommend replacing it as that the sacrificial lamb on your outboard, even if you run it and don't leave it in the water.

They're relatively inexpensive (get them here on iboats for around $5-10) Small price to pay.
