I have a 1992 johnson faststrike 175hp, im having a couple problems with it i cant figure out, first of all it does not want to jump out of the water on the whole shot like its suppose too, it sounds like it doesnt have enough torqe, i have to just keep holding my hot foot all the way down and i can hear my motor sounding like its bogging down and after about 10 sec or so i can hear the motor kick in like its full of power again and takes off. The top end runs like a charm, nice and strong, its just coming out of the water, and it also dont want to stay idling on its on, if i take my foot off the hot foot it will go dead. If anyone has any ideas on what could be causing this, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Ron!
