found problem, need help

1970 OMC sterndrive 2.3L ford, exhaust manifold broke #314976 is on top. Should I go new or use? where would I go to find? please help school is almost out and kids are ready for lake.

That part number does not seem to come up as the manifold.

I would go new if replacing it.
Is this the one?

Oops! That crosses over to a OMC V-8 manifold...

If the manifold needs replaced used is your only slim chance as they are no longer available new. Good luck

I thought that was the case.
I know the company HGE that makes manifolds has that one on the list but it will not be produced until later this year.

For what it's worth, my (free) boat came with a manifold that was fixed with JB Weld. I was going to replace it, but it's an old OMC like yours and I couldn't find the part.

It's been a year, and JB Weld manifold hasn't failed yet.

I'm not saying its a good idea, but it seems to be working.
