Interesting. Almost exactly the same thing happened to me on Lake Minnetonka about 30 years ago.

Read about it in this month's iboats REVIEW.

Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota???????

Sorry to hear that unfortunate. I heard about 15 years ago a old childhood friend was killed because he was on a boat like the one that passed you and they hit a dock on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville. They were found the next morning all 5 dead in the boat as they ran under a dock and got clipped in the head.

I always have my Nav Lights on before the Sun goes below the horizon and run 15 MPH as most.

If that was a cobra fish n ski then that incident was on Dr's Lake and they were doing in excess of 40mph when they hit that dock. My mom worked at one of the funereal homes that received one of the bodies. I got to see the aftermath first hand, not for the weak stomach. Taught me a valuable lesson that I won't ever forget though, I am maniacal about my running lights upkeep.

I fish at night and have had more than a few run ins with idiots who don't use there lights, it is stupid and dangerous.

As they say, you can't fix stupid.
