I am looking for a rebuild kit for my fuel pump on a 1964 Johnson 18hp. Parts book says it is 379297. I have had no luck finding a rebuild kit for this pump. Do I have to change pumps. Does anyone have the part numbers for the individual diaphrams and internal parts of the pump? The part book I have only shows the whole fuel pump assembly. Any help would be great. Thanks!

it's not worth rebuilding, even if you ever miraculously found a rebuild kit. There are dozens of newer fuel pumps on ebay. Anything from 4-35hp will work on your motor, just look at the "out" nipple and make sure it's a smaller diameter than the "in" nipple. New pumps are available at iboats

Look on Ebay for a complete pump. You need Fuel Pump 388685.

I agree, rebuilding a fuel pump is a pain it's much eaiser and worth the extra couple of dollars to get a pump assy.
