not sure of your specific application, but no specific marine plugs. check your owner's manual...

Marine plugs will be a WHOLE lot easier to replace down the 'road'.

But...if you plan to change them at the beginning of each boating season, then it probably won't matter.

A plug wire is...a plug wire!

Happy boating!

go to the adults only sticky thread at the top of the i/o forum. look at #9. choose s/m #2. it will have the info in it ya need to service your engine and drive.

you need MR43T spark plugs or equivilant. the m stands for marine. fwiw, i use ngk, br6fs which i believe are equivalent.

good quality plugs wires are good. best i know, nothing particularly marine about plug wires. (one of the few items this can be said for)

generally speaking. stay out of the auto parts store when buying parts for boats. auto parts and boats don't mix. if you do end up at the auto parts store. be sure to specify and get marine rated parts.

I order all my marine parts from my local NAPA. They have a marine catalog and can pretty much get anything you need. Just ask to see the catalog. It's also a heck of alot cheaper since we have a commercial account from our auto shop. The parts are the same that you would get from anyone!!

No they aren't. You are getting Sierra aftermarket parts from NAPA, not OEM Mercruiser parts.
BIG-Huge difference in most parts.

hmm, is that just for that engine? my engine calls for champion rv9yc, ac r42ts, or quicksilver plugs. don't think the champions or ac are marine...

The Champion is definitely a marine plug.

only thing i saw on the champion website lists that plug as "racing". doesn't seem like the ac is marine though. but anyway, according to champion's site, the marine plug has SS threads and a few other differences of unknown (to me) significance. not sure what the standard thread material is.

Ayuh,... That's because that's the Wrong #... It should be MR43TS....
The "M" is Marine, which uses an alloy body, not steel...

Ayuh,... That may be,... I'm just tellin' ya which 1s are Marine rated...
The prefix "M" means it's the same plug, with an Alloy body...
