I'm sure someone else has had this happen. Looked out my kitchen window and saw a small squirrel on my boat. Saw the tracks in the snow and thought I better look around. He had made a nest in one of my compartments and tore up some carpeting in the same compartment. I tried to be nice and use moth balls but he wouldn't take the hint so I went to the hardware store and bought 2 giant mouse traps and got him. So i'm checking everything out when i pull the cover and everything worked boy did I luck out. Last thing I checked was the horn, of course he chewed thru that wire and another harness at the bow. I spliced all the wires and it looks like everything is ok. I covered the boat with my mooring cover and a regular cover this year. I'm wondering if I should shrink wrap instead or would he chew thru that too. Anybody else have a similar experience?

I was just thinking the same thing!!:D

THEY won't chew through the shrink wrap to get in unless there's food inside.

build some boxes with small holes they could get through and put some trail mix inside. Put them up in the trees and they'll have something else to build a nest inside of..........

It was probably that squirrel from Ice Age ..... it finally got that acorn and decided to eat it in the boat....... but it was never meant to happen.......

Go out of your way to discourage a squirrel! They do not accept NO easily.
