Engine knocking, need advice

Good morning guys
I have a 59 Evinrude 10 hp that hasn't been run in about 25 years. I did a complete tune up on it, new coils, points, condensers, plugs, plug wires and rebuilt the carb. It started on the third pull, I notice a loud clacking/knocking inside the engine, I'm guessing a rod or rist pin bearing, It belonged to my dad so I know it's a low time engine, just wondering if it's worth putting more money in it, are parts going to be available to fix it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

If you put in new plug wire's, are you sure the flywheel is not striking the coil's? Start it with the rewind starter removed, and see if you still have the noise.

R. Johnson, Thanks for the reply. I checked the coils and flywheel and see no evidence of contact between the two. Any other ideas?

Does it make the sound as you slowly pull the recoil without starting the motor? Obviously, you do not want to start the motor in the current condition.
