Thanks to the folks here at iboats, I pulled the trigger last week on my first boat. It's a 1985 Baja 170 with a 1998 Johnson Faststrike 150 and a 4 blade stainless prop, sitting on a 1994 Shorelandr trailer with bearing buddies. It's in great condition for a 25 year-old boat. Seats are a bit faded, but no major tears. Carpet is good, and more importantly the floor is solid. Transom is like a rock. I started it for the first time myself (on the driveway) and after priming it started at the first touch of the key. There was no radio so I yanked the glove box and put in an Alpine marine CD player and a couple speakers. Anyway, here's some pix of my new, old baby:

Does that trailer have a torsion axle, spring, or just mounted to the frame? The wheels look like there isnt much clearance!

Otherwise, I really like that style boat, especially with the O/B, gives it a lot more room, and should be plenty of power...congrats!

Devon,

Great looking rig!! and clean for sure.

Speaking of cleaning, now is the time to clean out your garage so the new toy can go inside. Get rid of that lawn equipment and get a lawn service to do your mowing while you go boating and fishing.

You got a winner. Enjoy the summer.
