Hi. Just replaced old rusted trailer with nice galvanized escort trailer. Only problem is the chines do not quite fit inside the bunks which results in the chine on one side of the hull sitting on the bunk. Is this a problem?

It is a 16foot Crestliner Deep V with 50hp outboard.

Also, the trailer is very simple in that there are just the two bunks and a bow roller. Should I be adding maybe some rillers in the middle of the trailer for additional support?

Lastly, when I winched the boat up it does not actually rest on the bow roller. Is this a problem?

Sorry for the dumb newbie questions in advance

THANKS

Is it a chine or a strake that is resting on the bunk? Either way, the bunk needs to move. Can the bow roller be raised?

Some pics would reallyhelp here.

Almost forgot - WELCOME ABOARD!

Got some pictures? I think what you mean by chines are strakes.

The bunks can be adjusted.

The bow of the boat has to be against the winch post bow stop.
