prop/transom mount height ?

hey....got a question here ? As you can see by this picture,the motor use to be mounted a lil higher on the transom ?.....What up ????

This "boat" is still "new" to me,shakedown cruises,workin out some kinks,etc.
Noticed this and thought,,,, why ?

Fiqured you guys would know.

Looks to me like that hole is from a different motor unless the other side is offset like that to the right a bit.

By all means read those threads.
Motor height is individual to the boat,motor and propeller.
The idea is to have the motor as high as possible without having ventilation(cavitation) problems.Usually the anitventplate(just above the prop ends up slightly higher than the bottom of the boat.
