Here are a couple pics (sorry for the phone pic quality) of the new paint job on my 1978 22' SS. I think it turned out well. Next step is start the rebuilding of the inside.

Are you rebuilding the interior with the orginal layout or custom?

You should start a restoration thread and post some more pics of that beauty. We absolutely love the 22' SS hulls.

Where in the ( Northwest ) area do you live.? Realy like the light blue line at the water line Also how did you apply the paint????

Ok, Ok, I'll have to admit - I did not paint the boat myself (my wife wanted it to look good). I had it done by a professional shop in SLC. They sanded it down to bare aluminum and applied a primer and then many coats of the colors. The top line is a navy blue and the boat is a true white. What really amazed me after it was painted was how there were almost no dents in the hull. There is one small dent the size of a dime on one side and that is it - not bad for a 32 year old boat.

I will post some pics of the rebuild as I go on.

The inside is going to be the original layout but with all new stuff.

I'll added a pic of what it looked like before the paint job as well.

so they used reg. automotive paint ?? if so i wonder if it will blister IF you keep her in the water ?? and warranty on the paint ?

Ok, I couldn't wait to see some photos so I found these pics. The hull paint job is nice!! Any inside pics?

Not right now but I will post some after the motor gets back from the machine shop. It is all new on the inside.
