grandfather's pontoon boat; has been sitting for over 2years. took it out for the first time, didn't go well. Ran halfway for a little while[wouldn't get over 3,000 rpm. Then we cleaned carbs and put it back together with a new primer bulb dropped it back in the lake and wouldn't idle and wouldn't take acceleration. Please help, don't know what else to do.also changed the plugs.

What year and what size of motor do you have there?

Did you soak the carbs in carborator cleaner? Install new kits? More info needed in order to help you out. Welcome to IBoats!

Carb's have to come COMPLETELY apart, soaked and blown out with air. Plus, new kits installed.
