I have a extra lower unit from a part motor that I bought and I'm going to sell the lower unit since I dont need it but i need to remove the driveshaft(the one that go to the powerhead and lower unit) since the guy I bought it from cut the top end of it.

I dont have a manual so I was wondering what is the procedure to remove the shaft from the lower unit?

A lot of those motors have a two piece driveshaft. The coupling is just below the bearing. Take a look on the crowleymarine.com site for the parts list and you should see the coupling.

I do not know if you can detach it w/o disasembling the gearcase.
