I bought this 91 200 GT this winter and it was a fresh rebuilt powerhead with about 10hrs on it. I have had it out several times and it has a low end idle miss. It coughs and dies under 1000RPM. I bought a manual and pulled the carbs yesterday and cleaned them up and blew out all the jets. They actually looked to be in good shape. Then I did the Sync of the carbs as described in the manual. I started it on the hose and surprise no miss. So I take it to the lake today and it was a little hard to start which was new. Then I took it out with no miss the smoothest it ever ran. I think the idle may need to come up a little. In gear at 450RPM. So several hours later I came back to the idle zone and Surprise the miss was back? Coughed and missed then dies. Now it's not as bad as before but still there....My thoughts maybe the air temp increase 7 or 8 degrees causing the condition to return? Any Ideas would be great....Good Comp,Spark, and Fuel.....

Re: Lean Sneeze? HELP

No I didnt because the manual stated not to do this since they are plastic and could cause damage to them. So I just took them apart and used carb cleaner spray and an air hose. However the acutually looked fairly clean. Kinda shocked me as expected to find varnish or junk in them.
