Firstly, and apology for initially putting this in the wrong section

I am refurbishing a pair of VP AQ130 Engines in my Cleopatra 850.

I bought the boat with the engines part assembled, so I am finishing the job. There are some bolts missing and some which I would like to change on engines. I have found out the bolts on the engine are UNC, but I am struggling with finding the thread type of the bolts on the exhaust manifold. I need to replace the bolts holding the cover plate on.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks,
Louis

Being its a Volvo motor, I'd expect the bolts to be metric. You may have to buy a few bolts to figure out which is correct. Sorry not much help.

The block off plate is 7/16, can't remember if they were fine thread or not. definately not metric.

Many thanks for the reply, would that be 7/16 across the flats, spanner size? UNC?

Thanks,
Louis

Re: Cleopatra Volvo AQ130 Engine refurb

I just checked one of mine and the wrench size is 5/8 so that means the bolt diameter would be 7/16. You'll probably just have to try different bolts. - Hope that helps.

sqbtr - pretty sharp looking engine in your boat and nice wire management as well. Really looks good - did you do the work?

Thanks for the compliment. Probably have 30 hrs in the wiring, and who knows how many hours with everything else. :D

Many thanks for the replies. I will now go on the search of some 7/16 bolts!
I only hope my engines looks half as good as yours one day, sqbtr. Very nice!

Thanks again,
Louis
