If you had photos that would help greatly...but the 150hp is going to be the real value in the package unless the boat has been stored indoors and the wood is not rotten.
That package with trailer should be priced around 5-6k assuming the 150 is in pristine condition and has been well maintained.
Other places maybe more $$...but in Michigan it is a buyers market on boats these days.
I dont have photos. The boat is a 1974. the hull is in good shape, paint is pretty good, not many chips. Hull looks real good. The motor is an 1985 150 merc. The interior is not perfect, I would grade it around a 6 or 7, most would be fixed just by a good cleaning.
It would be somewhat rare for a '74 to not need a new deck and transom put in since most boats are stored outdoors for at least a few years(maybe even with the plug still in or the bow down).
If it's been stored indoors thoughout then the deck and transom are probably fine. Maybe a good question to ask the seller.
I ended up buying it, just wanted to be sure I did not spend too much. The floors, transom, and interior were redone about 6 yrs earlier. It is on a shorelander trailer. Paint looks really good for the age on the outside. Not sure exactly what it is worth but I have a feeling I got it really cheap. When it was outside it was covered.
I will try to get some pictures tomorrow. I have been looking for a 21 ft ss for the last few years. t seemed like every time I would find one it would have an inboard outboard and I wanted just an outboard. Thank God for the state of Minnesota, it has given me both my boats. I have a 16 ss now and with 4 kids it is getting pretty tight when fishing. You can't beat old starcraft boats. I have been reading this forum for the last 4-5 years, never bothered to register because I could always find the answer to whatever question I had.
Nice lookin boat there bralaw! I really like how big that thing looks, it probally cuts and rides in the water like a champ too! Only thing that would make me even happier would be a nice 200hp Johnson on the back .
I also have a 16' SS and heck I haven't even had it for that long and I'd like the bigger 18' model, but I still love my 16' somday I'll have two . Congrats!
I have had it out once since I bought it. We went out chasing wakes to see how well it will handle rough water. Night and day difference between it and my 16. It is substantially deeper and wider. Takes the water really well and planes out nice. It badly needs plugs and the carbs cleaned. I think there is a seal out in the lower end as well. I need to pressure test it and see whats going on.
Would not take much to change a Holiday to a S/S. A few strips of Aluminum and a sheet of plywood some paint and your done. However I would not take it where I fish Puget Sound and have the weather blow up a storm. To high of waves and water over the bow. Get real wet real fast.
