I have a 1991 L250TXRP and I am trying to figure out how big the metric flywheel nut is. It is the same nut used on a number of model years for the 250 hp engine. Yamaha themselves doesn't seem to have the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Yamaha 250 flywheel nut

Thanks. What engine do you have? Should mine be the same size? My boat is out of town and I am getting everything together to spend a few days working on it. Which is why I can't simply go measure it myself.

Re: Yamaha 250 flywheel nut

what motor I have is rather irrelavent.
what is relavent is as a master technician for yamaha, one of maybe 70 in the field in the US, I get to remove these things rather often.
its the same nut as the 3.3,3.1 and most the v6 4 strokes use.
