Wanted: 1997 50 hp Evinrude 2 cyl Reman Lower Unit

Anyone know where i can find this for less than a grand!?!?!? I've found a shop in Tampa (SEI) that Reman's lower units but they dont go this small theirs were 800 bucks w/ a full warranty (150's and up). Iboats store has them for around 1500 bucks. ouch!

Sorry,seems like alot of guys with the 40--55 2 cyl are in the same boat.I actually posted to anothr guy the other day.There are a couple guys with blown powerheads on here.You might find them and buy their gearcase

thanks i found some for 500 bucks but then shipping was gonna be a rip so I'm looking at different motors. After talking to a few guys i'm thinking about an older 55 hp. I guess those smaller gearcases made in the 90's are rare because they break and the ones build prior are better. who would have thought. anyways thanks for the reply's i know you advised me in my original post about the 50 to get a different motor.
