I saw that and I thought it would be an interesting project but, would have required a very close inspection before considering it.

between $100 and around $13000 depending on condition

and it's worth nothing to me because I'm over 6 foot. The tallest person that can sleep anywhere in that boat is around 5'9"

I'd pay $6,782.37 and not a penny more.

It was the result of a very sophisticated rectalderivation process. But I'm probably not too far off.

It is a nice looking boat, looks like it has been well cared for, there is a lot of wood in that age boat, you need to check to be sure there is no rot, drive and gimble ring looks rough, I thought I saw a couple tears in the upholstry when looking at the pics. You may have to replace the drive and ring due to corrosion, it does not look good in the pics. My personal opinion you are looking at a $3500 to $4500 boat even though it does look real good.

Interesting... I have seen this corrosion on lots of docked boats. I thought it was normal, is it not?

The advertised 9k and openly admitted 7k would take it home. What kind of an offer would I want to start with. I am not good at negotiating like some are.:D

I guess you could say that corrosion is normal but it should not be allowed to get that bad, at least in the pics it looks bad. I would think that the zincs (anodes) were not maintained for it to look like it does. You have to watch the drive for corrosion, clean and paint to keep it down. The ring should not look like it does, nothing strikes it to knock the paint off like the prop or drive housing when running through the water. Get someone that knows to look at the drive housing and the ring and see how bad they think it is. If it just looks bad and the metal is not pitted real bad then maybe you could clean, sand, prime with self etching primer and paint, then make sure all the anodes are good. I don't know if this boat has a Mercathode system or not, if it does make sure it is working properly, that will also help prevent corrosion.

I am with NLAIN, $4000 to $4500. You are going to be putting more money into it than you think. In the end you will probably have 7K invested in it easy. regards FRED

Re: What's this boat worth (opinions)?

Looks old.

Im not a fan of the 70's yellow, but whatever.
Electronics look old and used, probably barley work, out drive is rotted.
Trailer looks old, crappy, and too small, and the tong looks kinda iffy.
Ford hub caps on the probably bad tires.

I would buy the $300 ebay boat long before this running boat.
As you'll probably put thousands into it just making it up to date.
