Re: 1947 Sea-King 5hp Impeller
Are water pump impellers available for a 1947-48 red Seaking 5hp?
Not 100% sure but I think all 47-48s used were 'standards'. (i.E.: non shift models) If so it will have an eccentric cam driven rotor immediately behind the prop hub area. Pop out the two screws and lift off the cover. If you find a rotor you can send a tracing to Brian Wilcox (contact him first for pricing & other instructions at <http://www.chrystine.com/impellers/order.html>
AFAIK they are NLA from OMC and I wouldn't want a 60+ year old impeller anyway since it's all that stands between an old motor and a slag heap. I've bought several impellers from Brian with complete satisfaction regarding both price and quality.
