On one of my engines in the oil tank only one half has oil and the other side with the sensor doesn't. What could be wrong? Thanks!

Yes. The oil tank on the engine when I remove the little cap oil gushes out. Then when i take the probe out of the front of the little tank there is no oil. It is dry. The 3 gallon oil tank inside the boat is full.

Re: 2004 mercury optimax

I checked the other engine and it doesn't have oil on the sensor side either. So, I guess it's not supposed to. The engine lost power suddenly at 3500rpm's. Engine alarm did come on when I reved the engine but it ran normal temperature. Any suggestions? Anything I can check?

I replaced a 20 amp fuse that was blown. Could a blown fuse cause power loss?
