i think you're out of luck. Suck it out and put use it in the lawn mower.

How many gallons is in there? How many does the tank hold total? If its just a few gallons in a 20+ gallon tank you could probably just put fresh gas in on top of it.

I had over 30 gallons of old gas when I bought my boat, bought Wal-mart 5 gal gas cans for 8 bucks on sale and pumped the gas out from the fuel connection to my motor, took all of 2 hours including buying the cans :p

Found out that the gas will run gardening equipment ok so I am supplying the local gardeners with free gas - tis cheaper then using hazmat disposal

The object is to siphon the fuel, not drink it. Siphon and fuel transfer devices are available at auto stores for about 10 bucks and you don't have to get your mouth near them. Five year old gas is five year old gas. Dumping something into it is not going to make it one or two year old gas or new gas. And when you are done with that project, you might as well resign yourself that the carb(s) on the engine in this boat will need rebuilding.

Don't use the gas !!!!
Siphon it out with one of those devices they sell quite cheaply and clean out and service the entire fuel system before attempting to fire it up again.

I hope I'm not repeating something already posted, but gas treatments are meant to preserve fresh gas, not revive old gas. If the gas has already sat five years it should be siphoned out; you'll avoid many other potential problems it might otherwise cause.

FYI: Be careful pushing the syphon hose into the tank.
You can damage fuel pick ups and float gauges!

And don't put any old gas into any lawn equipment. The jets are microscopic and will plug....throw it into a car....obtw...my local lawn mechanic only recommends high octane gas for lawn equipment....says the "lower" grades breakdown too fast...for .20 more per gallon I don't take a chance.
