Was out on the lake, every thing was running strong and fine and suddenly the motor just died while going about 3/4 throttle. After that it cranks but won't fire at all, like there is no spark whatsoever. I have not tried anything yet, hoping to get a general idea of where I might start. I do have the repair manual somewhere that I'll get out.

The carbs had just been rebuilt so I am thinking electrical, though to be honest I have no clue.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Check for a blocked/closed breather on the fuel tank. If closed it will create a vacuum, preventing fuel flow.

The fact the fuel system has been worked on suggests perhaps some helpful person closed it for you?

if you have a safty lanayrd installed, disconnect it and check for spark,if not, look for the kill circut wire at the powerpack, its a black and white ,disconnect and test, motor may start be sure you have water and the only way to stop is choke,if it works ,check all harness connections qansd wires to and from switch,if all are Ok ,you key switch probably went bad,you can also check for spark by disconnecting main engine harness and then jump pos.directly to starter, but again ,if it starts you can only choke to kill,
