Hello,
I am curious and have a question about the speed and RPM of my pontoon boat with a 1983, 70 horse Johnson outboard, model J70ELCTE. With just me in the pontoon boat I am turning 5,600 RPMs at 21 MPH that is using a pitot pickup tube speedometer. The prop dimensions, if I remember correctly, is a 13.75 X 15 or 13 pitch can't remember exactly without looking at the prop. What do you think about my stats is it good or bad? Thanks, Bob:)

Your RPM's and speed are about right, although I would never trust the boat speedo. A GPS will give you a true speed. You are probably 'good-to-go'. Your pitch is probably a 13.
