just wondering if anyone has some feedback about this. The 24 ft trailer came off a 24ft sea ray. I have a 26ft sea ray.

Id say if the trailer is for a 24ft boat, and your boat is 26ft, then its not the right trailer for your boat.

Does the boat hang off the front and the back of trailer?

Is the winchpost adjustable so that the transom is over top off the last keel roller and the tongue weight correct?????

Just doing the math I am sure it will hang off the back and that is my main concern. I have heard some boats will ride hanging off the back but that is alot of money for a maybe. I was hoping similar boats would have helped the matter but maybe not.

If your winch post is adjustable, you may get away with it or if the tongue weight changes alot you may have to move the axle forward also. check it out we are only talking 2 ft and a few hundred pounds here.

we are talking two feet..and if the winch post can be moved forward a foot to split the difference then i think you are ok. it will ride a little different due to the weight distribution change but the weight is moving forward closer to the axle.. if its an inboard, which i think it is, since i cant recall searay making an boat with an outboard (not sure on that)..then you gain there too since the engine weight is also closer to the axle.. different if its an outboard

My only concern is weight capacity of the trailer..so long as you are good there and your tounge weight can take the additional load (class 3 or 4) i hope.. you should be ok..

Unless you can move the winch at least 16" forward, or extend the tongue I'm going to say no. All the weight is in the back, the relationship of the back of the trailer and the transom is critical to the weight distribution on the rear axles. The transom needs to be flush to get this balance. Shouldn't be a big deal to have the tongue extended, but without seeing it, that's a guess on my part.
