I just purchased my first Starcraft today. I bought it on eBay and drove to Maine from NH to pick it up. It is 14" and made in 1964, so I am told, and has a 1957 Evinrude 18 hp.

AThis is missing the HIN tag so I don't know any numbers nor do I know which model it is or the max HP rating if I decide to repower.

I am posting a few photos in hope that someone can ID the model.

Thanks

I may be corrected but I think you have a Lone Star boat. The star on the stern bracket and the braces on the seats are what I base my guess.

Still a good boat. Very functional and tough.

Yep, that hull looks alot like CheapBoatKev's Lonestar 14'.

Check out his thread, it's identical.

Great outboard too, you can convert that from a dual fuel line to a single by adding a FUEL Pump at the engine if there's a PIPE Plug on the side of the block. Else the line is still available from Kellogg Marine ( need to go through a dealer ) the End Fittings are available but with experience can sometimes be repaired if leaking ( has 2 little o-rings inside ) expensive to replace entire end though.. Dont trash yours even used & leaking worth a little money.

I had a 67 lonestar glass boat.

Did some more investigation. I am certain it is a Starcraft not a Lonestar. Look at this other pic of a Starcraft with the stars on the corner braces. Also, looking at the brochures from 1964 on the other thread, it may be a Super Duty 14.

It is not a Lonestar...Tashasdaddy schooled me on that a while back with an identical Starcraft he had but has since sold I believe.

I want that motor...lock her up!

Thanks Cap'n!

The motor seems to run great. Taking her out this weekend for a run.

I too stand corrected...but glad to learn a thing or two about the older SC's.:D

That cast aluminum piece with the star is new to me.

I had no idea that TD once had a tin Starcraft either.

I'm pretty sure that those 18hp OMC outboards were designed with a 14' tinny in mind.

Good luck with the rig.:)

Re: New Starcraft Owner

I downloaded the 1964 brochure and although I magnified the image, it was somewhat blurry. However, from what I could make out, I don't have a 14' Super Duty as I thought because the beam is 55" on the SD and the beam on mine is 64". So I may have the Marlin model. If it is a Marlin, the max HP is 40. It would fly with a 40.

Still trying to find what model I have. I thought it was a Marlin but I think those have a small deck or extended seat in the bow.
Since the ID plate is missing, I am only saying this is a '64 since that what the seller told me. But browsing through the different year brochures, my boat may be a '66 or '67 Seafarer. Same color in and out and the right beam size.
