Just installed a new water pump. I has good pressure at idle and has a good pee stream.

The warning buzzer is on at idle and will go off on high RPM.

Thought maybe the oil warning sender was bad but I dont think it would stop at high RPM.

What should I check?

Sure would help if we had some idea just exactly which 175 merc you own. year, type, (carb, efi, opti, verado) even s/n.

Thermostats? At high RPM the water pressure overcomes the poppet valve and water flows straight through the block, bypassing the t-stats. At idle the stats must be open for water flow. Merc pee streams flow anytime the engine is running, thus the "tell-tale" moniker.
The stats are easy to check- on top of the heads and simple to access. Cheap too- I replaced both of mine for less than $40 and an hour of work.

Or if not, module, sender, etc...
