I have a tach with the following terminals.
Sender - Ign. - Grd. - J/E sender- light.
What does the J/E stand for - I am geussing Johnson/Evinrude, if that is correct what is different internally with this tach? I am putting this on a 12 pole 90 horse Evinrude, how do I hook it up? Do I only use the J/E terminal for the grey wire and place nothing on the sender terminal? This tach does not that old.

Re: Tach question

Tachs used to have the J/E (Johnson/Evinrude) connection, some years ago. If you are using an OMC product, use the J/E connection, plus +12VDC on the IGN termainal and ground. The Sender connection is unused.

What year is the motor?
