Last summer I inherited a 1974 DUO Ranger 15' Tri-Hull with the original 1974 Merc 650 (65hp) outboard motor. I dont know a whole lot about motors so I had a buddy go through it, he was amazed. All it needed was an impeller pump in the lower unit. (has not been on the water since 1985) I finally took it out about 2 weeks ago. Runs great, but seems to go a little slow. Maybe I am wrong and thats all she has, but I would think it would be faster. ??? If anyone knows about how fast it should be going, please let me know so when I take it out next time I can compare it with my GPS. PICTURES TO COME SOON OF THIS ALL ORIGINAL BEAUTY

depends on how heavy the boat is and what pitch prop. 15ft fiberglass boat? id say 65 hp your prob looking at 29-35 mph??

i got a 16ft fiberglass tri hull with 70hp evinrude and runs 28-31mph with my fishing gear and bait tank.
