Gauge or Pee stream or both

Which is better for a 1977 115 evinrude a water pressure gauge or a pee stream drilled at the boss of the no. one cyl.? would a gauge allow burping out air pockets or could I do both? would a 30psi gauge work or do I need a 60 psi ? also need to retorque heads what are the specs?

Telltale tells you almost zero. This is no contest: pressure gauge is totally more useful. Temp gauge as well.

Not sure where to drill on your motor. Gauge won't do anything for air pockets. 30 psig should work fine. Shop manual will have retorque spec for head bolts.
