Ok, So i am new to boats and new to engines. I have some help on the way but I am hoping to chase down some wiring issues on this boat so i can eliminate that before we start the engine work. I found the wiring diagram and it has been somewhat helpful but I am still confused as ****. Can someone help me with a good place to start? Also I am attaching a photo. Any Idea what this wire should be connected too?

It's the start slave relay.
You must have a Volvo
I would need a better view of all 4 wires going into the connector to tell you where it goes to. It look like it goes to the starter solenoid, but hard to tell from that angle.

That wire hooks onto the starter solenoid, the outer most small terminal.

WOW he is good. I definitely know where to go when I have questions about my boat when I get it in a coupe of weeks.

Don,

Thanks.. It was very helpful. We were able to get all of the other wiring sorted out. The motor cranks but I have no spark. I need to order several parts but I am not sure the best way to get the part numbers so I can shop around. I cant seem to find an engine model as the blue tag seems to be partially removed. I need a new ignition coil, carb rebuild kit, impeller, drive belt, alternator belt. If I send you some pics can you help?

Post a couple pictures of the complete engine, both sides as much as possible.
It's probably an AQ 125 A or B, lets see if we can't make sure.
