Been having the boat laid up for a few months...charged battery, put in key and turned...nothing happens. Pressed electric choke button and not reaction.

Would like some help trouble shooting...seems either my ignition is not getting power or my ignition switch is bad.

i tried tracing some lines with my multimeter to see if the ignition is getting power but I was not sure where the source was.

Is it possible to just replace the ignition switch? seems like a bunch of wires are soldered.

The ignition switch is c51015.

The whole throttle box had a mercury 65641.

Just wondering how common it is for an ignition switch to fail and is there a way to verify that it has failed?

I also located to big fuses...they are black with several prongs coming out of them that fit into a plastic fitting where some of the wires that go to the ignition are located...possible these fuses are bad?

Sorry for the questions but want to trouble shoot before I take it to the shop.
