Trying to find out the factory settings for a link & sync on a Merc 115/1150 Thunderbolt in-line 6? Last shop that worked on it couldn't get it going.
I have finally gotten it to idle without missing and can put it in gear without stalling now. When I start giving it gas it bogs and dies. Will start back up but does the same again. The adjustments on the distributor did not have the nuts locked down so I am assuming that everything is out of wack.

Bass, On the distributor motors, the idle pickup adjustment is on the distributor body. It is a brass collar which rotates to open the carbs, when the ign timing is 4-6* BTDC. There are two 5/16" stainless bolts which hold the collar firm.

The idle stop, max spark advance and max throttle screws above the distributor should have regular nuts on them to lock them into place.
